Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India and all around the world including  Trinidad and Tobago. The festival is also known as Phagwa, the “festival of colours” or the “festival of love”.

Holi  in Trinidad and Tobago is enjoyed by many, it is a time to laugh, dance and enjoy a colour fight, where people smear each other with colours and drench each other with coloured water all for fun and play.

The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest
